Christine is an 18-year-old Harvard student passionate about the intersection of computer science and public policy. Her journey with technology began in sixth grade when her sister sent her a post about Kode With Klossy—an opportunity that would become a catalyst in her life. Over the years, she participated in multiple KWK camps, served as an Instructor Assistant, and even won a national challenge in collaboration with SAP by pitching Transparent, a public health-focused app designed to combat misinformation and rebuild trust in government. That experience opened doors to mentorship, new perspectives, and a lasting belief that tech can and should serve the public good. Today, Christine is bringing that vision to life through a govtech startup she co-founded to help underfunded school districts apply for grants using AI. The idea was born out of her own district’s budget cuts and lack of grant-writing resources—an all-too-common issue nationwide. With support from Unusual Ventures and deep user research across school systems, she’s working to ensure equitable funding opportunities don’t depend on institutional privilege. Christine has also lobbied for statewide CS education reform in Washington and now studies Computer Science and Government at Harvard, where she’s actively involved in WeCode, the largest student-run women in engineering conference in the U.S. Through it all, Christine carries with her the community and confidence she gained from Kode With Klossy. It was the first place that showed her she didn’t need to fit a mold to lead in tech—and now, she's helping shape a more inclusive and impactful future for others.
